Missouri turkey and deer hunters have some dates to circle on the 2017 calendars they receive for Christmas.
At its meeting late last week, the Missouri Conservation Commission approved staff recommendations for next year’s seasons.
- Spring turkey: April 17-May 7 for the regular season; April 8-9 for the youth portion.
- Firearms deer: Nov. 11-21 for November portion; Oct. 28-29 an Nov. 24-26 for youth season; Dec. 1-3 for antlerless portion; and Dec. 23-Jan. 2 for alternative methods (including muzzleloader).
- Archery deer and turkey: Sept. 15-Nov. 10 and Nov. 22-Jan. 15.
- Fall firearms turkey: Oct. 1-31.
